In addition to hosting continuing education programs, The Northeast Vascular Imaging Group provides specialized training and educational services. We are committed to fostering the advancement of ultrasound imaging by providing training and education to those new in the field, those with experience in other areas of ultrasound and those wishing to refine their skills.
On-site Training
We can offer a customized training and education program designed for your practice and your staff. We provide hands-on training with all types of vascular ultrasound examinations as well as physiologic studies. This training can performed at your facility or other off-site options can be arranged. We can provide didactic programs covering topics including anatomy, hemodynamics, risk factors, patient symptoms, techniques, examination guidelines and interpretative criteria. We have an extensive collection of vascular cases for review by interpreting physicians. Arrangements may be made for continuing education credits.
Student Training
We currently are a clinical internship site for the NOVA Southeastern University College of Allied Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. NOVA offers a Bachelor of Health Science in Vascular Sonography. The students spend their fourth year of the program working full time in a vascular laboratory under the guidance of Registered Vascular Technologists, gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience. Our current student for the 2007-2008 academic year is Ms. Jennifer Vener, pictured below with Tim Zorn and Ann Marie Kupinski of Northeast Vascular Imaging.
